Wakadinali, widely known by their street moniker Rong Rende, is an unstoppable force in Kenyan hip-hop and arguably the most influential rap group in East Africa today. Hailing from the Eastlands area of Nairobi, specifically Umoja, the powerhouse trio consists of the highly technical lyricists Scar Mkadinali, Domani Munga, and Sewersydaa. Since bursting onto the scene, they have single-handedly redefined the sound of Kenyan drill and hardcore rap, replacing generic pop-rap with gritty, authentic narratives of street survival, delivered entirely in Sheng (Nairobi's dynamic street slang). Their raw energy and uncompromising dedication to the culture have earned them a cult-like following that transcends regular music fandom.
