Neema Gospel Choir is a premier Tanzanian worship collective that has become a dominant force in the East African gospel scene. Based in Dar es Salaam, the group celebrated its 33rd anniversary in late 2025, marking decades of a ministry characterized by vocal excellence, spiritual depth, and a unique ability to bridge traditional choir arrangements with modern contemporary worship. They are widely recognized for their “Worship in Spirit” program, which airs on Crown TV and features their signature long-form, atmospheric live recordings.

The choir achieved a significant career milestone at the 2025 Tanzania Gospel Music Awards, where they emerged as the night’s biggest winners. They were crowned Best Gospel Choir of the Year, while their hit anthem “Nikurejeshee” won Best Gospel Song of the Year and Best Praise Song of the Year. The group also secured the Best Gospel Collaboration award for “Chukwu Oma” featuring Rehema Simfukwe, solidifying their status as the gold standard for choral excellence in the region.
