Shabani Abdul, famously known as Mkataba Mc, is a high-energy Tanzanian Singeli artist, lyricist, and vocalist who has become a key representative of the “Kigamboni” street music scene. Known for his rapid-fire delivery and relatable street-level storytelling, he is often associated with Azo wa kitaa (or Azo Onthe Beat), whose production defines much of Mkataba’s high-tempo sound.
