Kelechi Africana, affectionately nicknamed Fleek Boss, is a prominent Kenyan Afro-pop and Bongo-fusion artist hailing from the coastal region of Mombasa. A proud member of the Digo community, he is celebrated for his smooth, romantic Swahili vocals and his ability to seamlessly blend Kenyan coastal rhythms with the mainstream Tanzanian Bongo Flava sound. Before his musical breakthrough, he worked as a primary school teacher, teaching Kiswahili, Science, and Islamic Religion. He eventually left the profession to fully pursue his passion, initially joining the coastal-based Wasojali Band, where he tasted his first major regional success with the collaborative release of Nitalia Nawe.
